It's not unusual for a TakaraTomy exclusive to use only minorly-altered packaging in this way, nor to be a black repaint with scant in-fiction justification, so it was easy to dismiss the idea that Nemesis Prime is really supposed to be a general in the Autobot army. ↑ Nemesis Prime's packaging uses many unchanged assets from Optimus Prime's, even including an instruction sheet for Optimus.It was unclear whether this particular symbol represented intelligence or recon until The Art and Making of Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy confirmed it was the former. ↑ Concept art on Hasbro Pulse shows that eight units were under consideration at some stage in development: infantry, intelligence, medic, engineer, special ops, artillery, recon, and transport.The generic, minimalist packaging of the Generations Selects toyline did not allow for each character to receive an individualised insignia only two Selects toys released for Siege featured an insignia in their instructions. The majority of toys also included insignias on the instruction sheet, and they could also be found on Hasbro's Siege webpage for a select group of characters. Insignias were printed on the card behind each blister-packed toy boxed toys and multi-packs included them in the same position on the card tray insert, as well as on the back face of the packaging. Insignias were at their most prominent in Siege, with every character's rank symbol prominently shown as part of their name tag on the front of their packaging (except in the Micromaster price point). ![]()
